Sheff contacted me about a week or two before he proposed to Tammy and asked if I could photograph this special moment for them! I had never met either of them before and we didn't have a concrete plan on where or how this was happening until about ten minutes before he proposed. I knew that if I was trying to discreetly hide behind pillars and plants in the tea room she probably would of noticed me and either I would have ruined the surprise or she would wonder why some creepy woman is taking her picture behind a bush, either way it would have ruined the moment. When he came out to meet me for the first time we decided I could go in and act like I needed a couple pictures for a magazine in town. Tammy was absolutely lovely she quickly said that was fine, during the little photo shoot Sheff started to recite a poem he had written then translated into Farsi just after reading the poem he got out of his chair, down on one knee and proposed. It was beautiful and magical even though I couldn't understand the poem you could see how lovely it must have been, she was riddled with happiness and tears. We decided to go take photos of the newly engaged couple throughout the hotel, which you will see further down they are very very photogenic, such naturals in front of the camera! During that time Tammy told us that while Sheff was reading the poem she kept thinking "Why is he talking about such personal stuff in front of this girl, and she is taking a lot of pictures" Luckily she was completely surprised, and a perfect ending to such a romanic dinner!
Congratulations Tammy and Sheff!
