I had the pleasure of photographing Juliana and Kyle's Wedding in April, and it was absolute perfection, which did not come as a surprise since they were a dream to photograph during their engagement session. As we all know this winter felt like it was never going to end, however someone must have been looking out for them because it turned out to be a gorgeous day! Everything from how stunning Juliana looked to every detail at the reception was fit for a fairy tale. Even the wedding cake her Aunt made was beautiful and intricate, I could go on and on about this wedding and Juliana and Kyle but I feel as though I should let the photos speak for themselves!
Meet Juliana & Kyle!
How did you two meet? How long have you been together? We actually met in our grade 10 German class at Eden High school. BUT we fist started hanging out in grade 12. I got this text from a number I didn’t have in my contacts and all it said was “is it too late?”. Needless to say I was very confused but eventually I figured out that it was Kyle. It was right around exam time in January so we couldn’t make time to hang out with each other but once exams were done he was coming over very regularly and we’d just hang out and watch TV. We have been together for 7 years (As of April16) What was your first impression of your partner? Kyle: I wish, but she’s out of my league. Juliana: He’s so sweet and quiet.
More Q&A below...
If you could describe significant other in one word what would it be? Why? Kyle: Smart. I’ve always admired how intelligent she is and how she can sort through problems. Juliana: Thoughtful. He is always aware of how he makes people feel or ways to make others feel special and cared for.
What is one thing that stands out from your wedding day that you’ll never forget? Juliana: Seeing Kyle standing there at the end of the aisle waiting for me to walk my way down to him. And in general how smoothly the day went. The weather was amazing, the reception went off flawlessly; it was all so perfect. Kyle: Seeing her in that dress. She looked incredible, I mean she always does but that was just another level or amazing. And yeah like she said, just how perfectly everything ran that day.
My partners first kiss made me think….what? Kyle: This is weird. Juliana: WOW. There wasn’t much going through my head aside that I didn’t want to stop kissing him
What would be your advice to couples for making a relationship last a lifetime? Be patient with each other; mistakes will be made and there is no point in turning them into major issues. That being said: be able to admit when you’re wrong. It shows the other person that you value the relationship you share more than you value being “right”. And lastly have fun. Life is going to take some crazy twists and turns, if you learn to do take time to do something fun it makes those hard times a little less taxing.
If you both had one day left to live what would you do together? Kyle: I’d take her to the top of a mountain Juliana: I would watch a thunderstorm with him.
What was it about your partner that made you believe they were “the one”? Kyle: 2016 was a rough year for me with a few major hardships that went on in my life. And she was always there for me, never faltering to offer encouraging or comforting words. She was my rock when I needed it and I don’t think I would have made it through that year without her. Juliana: It didn’t matter how awful my day was or how stressed I was he was always able to give me the strength and the advice I needed to keep going. He is encouraging and loving. As time went on I quickly came to realize that he was the person I looked forward to sharing my day with, both the good and the bad.
What is the most embarrassing thing your partner has said or done around you? Farting. That goes for both sides.
How did your family react when you told them you were getting married? Both our families were so excited. They were there to see us get engaged and they were both just so overjoyed that we were going to be married.
